What you see in this glass jar is about a week’s worth of… I don’t know what you would call this filth actually, but this is what I extracted from the bottom of my water distiller. I am not entirely sure what it is but it floats almost like an oil; I assume that this is maybe BPA broken down along with a multitude of other chemicals. But whatever it is, you should never drink it.
Bpa’s (Bisphenol A) is an organic synthetic compound. It is a colorless solid found in water bottles, canned food, baby bottles to name a few. .Bpa’s can cause health problems like asthma and abnormal liver enzyme levels, abnormal thyroid levels, loss of connections between brain cells, worse immune function, heart problems, cancer, and obesity.
BPA MIMICS ESTROGEN
BPA mimics the structure and function of the hormone estrogen. BPA can bind to estrogen receptors and influence bodily processes such as growth, cell repair, fetal development, energy levels, and reproduction.Your body is sensitive to changes in hormone levels, this is why BPA’s should be avoided.
Some studies believe that BPA’s are the reason people are having problems with conception and complications with premature delivery: Women with higher levels of BPA during pregnancy were 91% more likely to deliver before 37 weeks because BPA mimics the hormone estrogen. Higher levels found in men have the ability to lower testosterone levels and could also cause ED.
WHAT’S THE BEST WATER TO DRINK?
My research on water filters has led me to believe that they’re not as efficient when it comes to pulling out the multitude of chemicals and heavy metals as one would like. Reverse osmosis is closer to being clear of all contaminants but can be very costly.
Water distillers however are very effective at the removal of all contaminants, heavy metals, viruses and bacteria. Plus they are fairly affordable for the common household. The fact that distilled water is exceptionally pure, it is commonly used in medical facilities and laboratories because it typically removes around 99.9% of all contaminants found in tap water.
WHAT’S THE CONTROVERSY ABOUT DRINKING DISTILLED WATER?
Now, there is controversy about drinking distilled water because it is void of minerals and electrolytes which we all know we need. Distilled water has the ability to actually pull heavy metals and toxins from the body when consumed…as well as minerals and electrolytes. This is why distilled water is a great detoxifier.
Now that being said, unfortunately because our food is depleted of essential minerals that our body needs we must constantly replace these through supplementation.
If you would like more information about soil science and why our food is depleted of minerals click here. By adding Ionic Trace Minerals to your water you now control what type of minerals and how much you can add. There are five main minerals we are deficient in; boron, iron, magnesium, potassium, selenium and zinc.
